Survival Skills Immersion Overnight
*Overnight Workshop
*Applied Survival Skills: Sleep in your shelter!
*Expert Instructors – minimum 10 years of experience
This class is a 1.5 day follow-up to our Intro Survival Class that includes an overnight in your self-built shelter. We start at 10am on Day 1, and finish by 1pm on Day 2. In this class, we’ll take the topics introduced in the level 1 class and apply them to a real survival situation. You’ll need to build your shelter for the night, you’ll start your own fire (or eat a cold dinner!), harvest wild-edible plants, and live a full immersion survival experience for short period of time.
*Immersion Overnight Cost: $375
*w/ Express Pass: $355
Using the backcountry acreage of our wilderness camp, we’ll get you out beyond the amenities of the regular campsites, into the redwoods of the Santa Cruz Mountains and applying all the skill we’ve taught you. The Wilderness Skills & Survival Clinic is a prerequisite to this course. You must have taken that class in order to attend the overnight or have previous similar experience.
This class is 100% hands-on – minors age 16 and up may attend alone. Ages 12-15 may attend with an adult that is also taking the course. Everything you learn, you will do! You WILL sleep in your shelter, you WILL make fire to cook your food, you WILL learn about edible plants, and other necessary survival skills.
